Request for desired book

• The desired book request is a service that allows users to directly request the purchase of the desired book if the library does not have the desired book. If you are a member who has been issued a library membership card, you can apply for the desired book.

Guide to requesting desired books

• Application qualification: Book loan member (Uiwang citizen)
• Number of volumes requested: Baekun Lake Library: Up to 3 volumes per person per month (up to 2 volumes on the same topic)
  * Integrated libraries within Uiwang City (up to 5 books per person per month): The remaining 2 books can be requested from other libraries
• Duration: 3 weeks (subject to change depending on book purchase circumstances)
• Priority loan: Loan within 3 days from the date of receiving loan information (SMS sent)

How to apply

• Apply through website and mobile app Libropia

Application precautions

• Excluding cases where the loan is suspended due to delinquency until 3 weeks have passed from the date of application.
• If no loan is made during the priority loan period, it is excluded only for the next one month.
• Early closing possible when budget is exhausted
• If the book you applied for is rejected, you can check the reason for rejection in “My Library – Request for Desired Book – Application Inquiry”.

Excluded from application

• In possession, in purchase, unpublished books, periodicals, electronic materials
• Out of stock/out of print books (at least 2 large online bookstores)
• Series, expensive materials (exceeding 30,000 won), learning materials
• Application in foreign language ※ Applications are only available at global libraries.
• books in comic format
• Books mainly containing religious life, evangelism, missionary work, testimony, sermons, ministry, theology, and ideological and religious content related to a specific religion, etc.
• Books filled with entertainment and disgust (pornography, martial arts, fantasy, romance, light novels, etc.)
• Books in inappropriate formats (textbooks, spring books, booklets, coloring and handwriting exercises, three-dimensional books, etc.)
• Old edition/section data (more than 3 years after publication)
• Part of a series of publications (e.g., you cannot purchase only the ‘top’ or ‘bottom’ volumes out of ‘top’ and ‘bottom’)
• Materials with limited use, such as major books, workbooks, test books, photo books, illustration books, etc.
• Outdated versions of materials that require up-to-date information, such as computer-related materials
• Books that take a long time to be delivered (overseas direct import applications, large print books, etc.)
• Book with unknown bibliographic information (inaccurate information on signature, author, etc.)
• Books deemed unsuitable for other library materials
