The 2026 BAFTA Film Awards brought the usual blend of celebration and style to London’s Southbank Centre on February 22nd. While One Battle After Another dominated the winner’s circle, taking home the award for Best Film and acting prizes for Jessie Buckley and Robert Aramayo, the red carpet offered its own spectacle of fashion and star power. From established Hollywood names to rising talents, the event showcased a diverse array of looks.

Leonardo DiCaprio, a star of One Battle After Another, kept his look classic with a simple tuxedo. Teyana Taylor, also featured in the film, made a bolder statement in a dramatic, chocolate brown Burberry gown, complete with a statement collar and matching boots. Taylor, nominated for Best Supporting Actress, has previously spoken about finding inspiration in the vibrant style of Harlem, stating in a 2023 TikTok video, “Harlem is a whole runway now.”

Chase Infiniti, a co-star in One Battle After Another and a first-time BAFTA nominee, arrived in a custom-made burgundy Louis Vuitton gown. The film itself garnered a leading 14 nominations, closely followed by Michael B. Jordan’s Sinners with 13.

Timothée Chalamet, nominated for his role in Marty Supreme, was accompanied by Kylie Jenner, with Chalamet sporting custom Givenchy and Jenner choosing a vintage Thierry Mugler design. While Chalamet was considered a favorite for Best Actor, the award ultimately went to Aramayo.

Emma Stone, nominated for Best Actress for her performance in Bugonia, opted for a custom Louis Vuitton creation. Odessa A’zion, also starring in Marty Supreme, chose a lacy black gown with a sheer skirt. Kate Hudson, nominated for Song Sung Blue, made a striking appearance in a bold red, off-the-shoulder gown.

The event wasn’t solely focused on the nominees. Presenter Aimee Lou Wood, known for her role in The White Lotus, also turned heads. Fashion designer Vera Wang was also in attendance.

Jessie Buckley, who took home the Best Actress award for Hamnet, was a standout on the red carpet, and again when she appeared with director Chloé Zhao. Paul Mescal, also starring in Hamnet, accompanied her. Rose Byrne, nominated for If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, was also present.

The ceremony also featured a performance by KPop Demon Hunters – Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami – who performed their hit song “Golden” for the first time outside of the United States. Singer Jessie Ware provided the soundtrack for the “In Memoriam” segment, performing a cover of a Barbra Streisand song.

Other notable attendees included Carey Mulligan, Monica Bellucci, Kerry Washington, Wunmi Mosaku, and Riz Ahmed, all contributing to the evening’s glamour. The presence of Paddington Bear, sporting his signature blue duffle coat and, presumably, a marmalade sandwich, added a touch of whimsy to the proceedings.

Alan Cumming, hosting the ceremony, oversaw an evening that celebrated both cinematic achievement and the artistry of red carpet fashion. The BAFTAs continue to be a significant event in the awards season calendar, bridging the gap between British and international film industries.

The night also saw recognition for emerging talent, with Posy Sterling nominated for the Rising Star Award. The event highlighted the breadth of talent currently working in film, from established stars to those on the cusp of wider recognition.

With One Battle After Another leading the pack in terms of nominations and wins, and a diverse range of stars gracing the red carpet, the 2026 BAFTAs proved to be a memorable night for the British film industry and its global counterparts.
