Bailey Bar Wins Best Food Pub Award
The Bailey Bar and Eatery in Enniscorthy won the ‘Best Food Pub’ award at the 2024 Irish Pub Awards. The event took place in The Round Room at The Mansion House, Dublin.
The Irish Pub Awards are organized by the Vintners Federation of Ireland (VFI) and The Licenced Vintners Association (LVA). There are ten award categories, including Best Tourist Pub, Innovative Pub of the Year, Best Local Pub, and others.
The ‘Best Food Pub’ award recognizes pubs that offer high-quality food. It highlights creativity, support for local produce, and good value.
Ned Hogan, the General Manager, expressed pride in the team’s achievement. They previously won the ‘Best Bar Food Outlet’ for the South East Region in September.
Hogan stated, “We’re incredibly honoured to be recognized as the best food pub in Ireland. This award reflects our team’s passion, hard work, and commitment to excellence.”
VFI President John Clendennen praised the high quality of this year’s entrants. He noted, “The 2024 entries have set a new standard for excellence in Irish pubs.”
LVA Chair Willie Aherne highlighted the awards’ significance in the pub industry. He mentioned the increasing participation and media coverage, stating that it showcases the vital role of pubs in Irish communities and tourism.
