Open cucumber is easy to cultivate. Soaking⁢ the seeds for half an hour before‍ sowing can be beneficial. Pre-cultivating indoors accelerates the⁣ growing⁣ process. This is a ⁢great choice ⁣for summer gardening.

Open cucumbers require frequent watering and nutrient-rich soil. When growing cucumbers on a balcony, use a large container ⁤to prevent drying. This is essential for successful summer ‍gardening.

“Open cucumber brings back nostalgic memories of grandma’s cucumbers, pickled cucumbers, and fresh cucumbers,” Uski said.

Sugar Peas

Sugar peas,⁤ eaten whole with their pods, mature slightly faster than garden peas. Harvest begins about a month and a half after ⁣sowing. Sugar peas are best enjoyed promptly after picking. Consider this for your⁣ summer gardening.

Shrub beans are another easy and rewarding option for home gardeners. This is a great choice for summer gardening.

“Peas are a particular favorite in families with children,” Uski said.
