CEO Ye Kyung-tak Joins the Challenge to Raise Awareness of the Dangers of Gambling
BNK Gyeongnam Bank announced that CEO Ye Kyung-tak participated in the ‘Youth Gambling Eradication Challenge’ to raise awareness of the dangers of gambling and prevent the spread of illegal gambling among youth.
The Youth Gambling Eradication Challenge, which began in March, will continue until the 17th, the Gambling Addiction Eradication Day. The challenge aims to educate the public about the risks of gambling and the importance of preventing the spread of illegal gambling among young people.
CEO Ye Kyung-tak was nominated as the next runner for the challenge by Lee Hyo-geun, Chairman of Gyeongnam Credit Guarantee Foundation. He performed a challenge performance to eradicate youth gambling at the head office and delivered a message by taking a certification photo with his employees in front of an LED display board with the words, “Illegal cyber gambling targeting youth is a fraud crime that can never be won.”
“Illegal cyber gambling that teenagers are exposed to is as dangerous as drug addiction, making it difficult to escape once you get into it,” said CEO Ye. “Through this youth gambling eradication challenge, we plan to continuously pay attention so that the youth, the future of the Republic of Korea, can grow up properly in a safe environment.”
This is not the first time CEO Ye has participated in a campaign to raise awareness about social issues. In May of last year, he participated in the ‘Non-drug Eradication Campaign (NO EXIT)’ to spread the national will to eradicate drugs.
