FC Barcelona have currently opened a line of communication with Juventus and former Polish national team goalkeeper Fusek Szczesny to explore the possibility of including him in the team ranks.

Fabrizio Romano, Sky Sports’ transfer news specialist journalist, revealed that Barcelona will try to include Czesny in the current season following Marc-Andre ter Stegen’s injury.

Szczesny announced his retirement from football after participating in Euro 2024 with the Poland national team.

If he returns from retirement, he has the right to join any club at the current time without waiting for the next winter transfer window.

Szczesny started his career in Poland with Agricola Warsaw, then Legia Warsaw, then Arsenal.

Barcelona could sign 7 goalkeepers immediately after Ter Stegen’s season ends

He was loaned from Arsenal to Brentford and then loaned to Roma.

Finally, he joined Juventus in 2017 and stayed with them until his retirement.

Szczesny played 252 matches with Juventus, keeping 103 clean sheets and scoring 233 goals.

The 34-year-old goalkeeper has won three Italian league, cup and two Italian Super Cup titles for Juventus.

He also played 84 matches with the Polish national team, during which he conceded 83 goals and kept 34 clean sheets.

Chesney justified his decision to retire by saying that he wanted to focus on his family life with his wife and children.

Ter Stegen has had successful surgery and is likely to be out for the rest of the season.

Barcelona leads the Spanish league table with a total score of 18 points, while Getafe is 18th with 4 points.
