An Iranian student was reportedly arrested while protesting in her underwear on a university campus.
On the 2nd local time, a video was posted on social media of a woman walking around in her underwear in broad daylight on a university campus in Tehran, Iran.
The netizen who uploaded the video explained that the morality police attacked the college student for not wearing the hijab properly, and that she was standing in her underwear to protest.
At the end of the video, a car stops next to the student, and people getting out of the car push the student into the car.
The university acknowledged the confrontation, but claimed that “there was no attack by the moral police” and that “the student has a mental problem.”
The Iranian branch of the human rights group Amnesty International issued a statement saying, “Iranian authorities must immediately and unconditionally release university students who were violently arrested.”
This was a visual world.
