Basuki Hadimuljono Appointed President of Kagama
Basuki Hadimuljono has been named the President of the Central Board of the Family of Alumni of Gadjah Mada University (Kagama) for the 2024-2029 term. He replaces Ganjar Pranowo in this role. The announcement followed the XIV Kagama National Deliberation held at the Mercure Convention Center Ancol Hotel in Jakarta on November 16, 2024.
During his pledge, Basuki promised to serve Kagama fairly and sincerely. He stated, “I will carry out the decisions of the Kagama National Deliberation with dedication to the nation.” He expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him and highlighted his strong ties to the UGM community, mentioning that his family comprises Gadjah Mada alumni.
Basuki emphasized his plans to continue and build on the programs established by the previous leadership of Kagama. He sees this as an opportunity to connect with fellow alumni and give back to the university, where he feels a deep sense of belonging.
Born on November 5, 1954, Basuki Hadimuljono currently serves as the Head of the National Capital Integrated Coastal Development. He has previously held the position of Minister of Public Works and Public Housing, and he stepped in as Acting Head of the National Capital Integrated Coastal Development after Bambang Susantono’s resignation.
