Battlefield 2042: A Hard Lesson Learned – EA President Vows to Get it Right with Next Game, Promising Large-Scale Testing in 2025
EA Announces New Battlefield Game with Large-Scale Community Testing
Electronic Arts (EA) recently announced at its Investor Day that the new “Battlefield” series will be developed in different ways by the four EA studios: DICE, Motive, Criterion Games, and Ripple Effect.
EA President Laura Miele reiterated that the core concepts of the ”Battlefield” series are: “Epic scale”, “Total War”, “High-intensity action” and “Mass destruction”. Following these core concepts, the new “Battlefield” game is expected to be successful.
The development team of the new “Battlefield” has been in development for almost a year, playing every day to make adjustments and prioritizing the stability of the game itself. This is most likely due to the large number of bugs that have appeared since the launch of “Battlefield 2042”.
it was announced that the new game “Battlefield” will undergo large-scale community testing in early 2025 to collect relevant data on gameplay, performance, and whether players will find it interesting.
The 2042 update and the bug issues did not gradually stabilize until the mid and late stages.
