Electronic Arts (EA) reported record net bookings for its third fiscal quarter of 2026, driven by strong performance from Battlefield 6, EA SPORTS FC™, and Apex Legends™. The company announced the preliminary financial results on February 3, 2026, detailing significant growth across its key franchises.

Financial Highlights

Net bookings for the quarter totaled $3.046 billion, representing a 38% increase year-over-year. Net revenue reached $1.901 billion for the quarter. The company also reported net cash provided by operating activities of $1.826 billion for the quarter and $2.522 billion over the trailing twelve months.

EA has declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.19 per share, payable on March 18, 2026, to stockholders of record as of the close of business on February 25, 2026.

Battlefield 6 Leads the Charge

Battlefield 6 was identified as the best-selling shooter title of 2025, and set new franchise engagement records according to EA. The game’s success was a major contributor to the overall positive financial results. While specific sales figures for Battlefield 6 weren’t disclosed, its impact on net bookings was clearly significant.

Continued Momentum in Sports and Live Service Titles

EA SPORTS FC™ experienced high single-digit year-over-year growth in net bookings during the third fiscal quarter, excluding the impact of deluxe edition content timing. This growth was primarily driven by the strength of Ultimate Team™ and FC Mobile. Apex Legends™ also continued to perform well, with net bookings increasing by double-digits year-over-year, fueled by innovative new features and events.

Looking Ahead: Pending Acquisition

While reporting strong financial results, EA is also navigating a pending acquisition. On September 29, 2025, EA announced a definitive agreement to be acquired by an investor consortium comprised of The Public Investment Fund, private investment funds affiliated with Silver Lake Group, L.L.C., and private investment funds affiliated with Affinity Partners. The all-cash transaction values EA at approximately $55 billion. The acquisition is expected to close in the first quarter of fiscal 2027, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.

Financial Breakdown

A more detailed look at the financial results reveals the following:

  • Full Game Revenue: $632 million (compared to $599 million in 2024)
  • Live Services and Other Revenue: $1,269 million (compared to $1,284 million in 2024)
  • Net Income: $88 million (compared to $293 million in 2024)
  • Diluted Earnings Per Share: $0.35 (compared to $1.11 in 2024)
  • Operating Cash Flow: $1,826 million (compared to $1,176 million in 2024)

Notably, the company did not repurchase any shares during the quarter, contrasting with the $375 million in share repurchases during the same period in 2024.

The strong performance in Q3 FY26 positions Electronic Arts favorably as it moves towards the completion of its acquisition, demonstrating continued strength in its core franchises and a successful launch of Battlefield 6.
