MACCARRESE, Italy – Baubeach®, Italy’s pioneering dog-kind beach, reopened May 17 for its 2025 season, promising a summer filled with holistic activities, training events, and immersive experiences designed to enhance the well-being of both dogs and their owners.
the beach, located in Maccarese, is billing its season as one focused on shared well-being. The “Well-being x2!” program aims to foster physical, mental, and relational balance between people and their canine companions.
Holistic and training Activities
The program, running from May to November, features a diverse range of activities, including holistic psychology sessions, yoga classes, certified dog training, and vegan cuisine options. All activities are designed to strengthen the bond between humans and animals in a natural and respectful environment.
Upon entering baubeach®,visitors encounter a symbolic “Medicine Wheel” adorned with totem plants such as lavender,sage,lentisco,and helichrysum,representing the four cardinal directions. Artistic installations, including “The Drop of the colibrì” by Karen Thomas and works by Patrizia Daffinà, encourage reflection and mindfulness.

- Essential oils workshop with Ayurveda expert Maria Teresa Materassi

- “Good Dog Teacher,” a course for teachers interested in introducing dog culture into schools

Vegan Bistro and Art Exhibition
A highlight of the Baubeach® experience is the Vegan Bistrot,recognized by Gambero Rosso for its ethical and nourishing menu curated by Rita Ghilardi. The beach also features a permanent photographic exhibition, “Relationship Size” by Claudia Candido, accompanied by poetic texts by Sacerdote, exploring the bond between humans and dogs.
The exhibition aims to capture the emotional, social, and spiritual dimensions of the human-animal connection.
