Aviron Bayonne FC Faces Pau FC in the 7th Round of the French Cup

Aviron Bayonne FC is set to face Pau FC in the 7th round of the French Cup, a highly anticipated match that promises to be an exciting encounter. The Basque club, currently competing in the Nacional League, will host the Ligue 2 professional side Pau FC in Bayonne on the weekend of November 16th.

The French Cup is renowned for its magic, and this match is no exception. Aviron Bayonne will have to dig deep to secure their future in the competition as they face a formidable opponent in Pau FC. As the last remaining Basque club in the competition, Bayonne faces a significant challenge, with a four-league gap between the two teams. This David vs. Goliath encounter is shaping up to be a thrilling match.

The winner of this match will advance to the 8th round, where they will face the winner of the match between US Saint-Philbert de Grand Lieu (N3) and Toire (R1). This presents a great opportunity for Aviron Bayonne to progress in the competition and make their mark.

Aviron Bayonne’s last encounter with a professional club was against FC Nantes in the round of 32 on January 4, 2020. Although the venue for the upcoming match is yet to be confirmed, it is unlikely to take place at the Jean-Doger Stadium due to a scheduling conflict with a professional D2 rugby match between Dark and Mont-Marsan on Saturday, November 16.
