Chicago Bears Suffer Second-Week Loss to Houston Texans
The Chicago Bears, who secured a win in their season opener, faced a setback in their second week game, resulting in a season record of 1 win and 1 loss.
The Bears lost 13-19 to the Houston Texans in their first away game of the 2024-2025 season on Sunday Night Football in Houston. The team’s offense struggled, leading to their defeat.
Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams completed 23 of his 37 passes and threw two interceptions. Although Williams showed improvement from his pro debut, he faced significant pressure, with 36 of his 37 passes resulting in pressure and seven sacks.
The Bears achieved their first offensive touchdown of the season in the second quarter when running back Herbert Khalil scored a touchdown.
Trailing 10-19 in the fourth quarter, the Bears made a 54-yard field goal with 2:51 left, narrowing the score to 13-19. However, they were intercepted late in the game, ending their chances of a comeback.
The Bears will face the Indianapolis Colts in their third game of the season on the 22nd.
