Beauty Over Pixels: ‘Alan Wake 2’ Creators Sing Praises of PS5 Pro’s Stunning Visuals
Remedy Entertainment Weighs in on PlayStation 5 Pro Console Drama
The recent announcement of the PlayStation 5 Pro console has sparked a heated debate among gamers, with many questioning the value of the updated mid-range console. Remedy Entertainment, the studio behind the popular game Alan Wake 2, has now weighed in on the controversy.
A recent in-depth analysis by Digital Foundry found that many games on the PS5 Pro, including The Last of Us Part 2, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and Horizon Hogwarts Legacy, display at the same level as the regular PS5 console, with only increased frame rates in some games. The analysis also found that some third-party games, such as Assassins Creed Shadows and Alan Wake 2, have lower resolution numbers than expected.
Thomas Puha, Director of Communications at Remedy Entertainment, responded to the criticism, stating that image quality is more important than resolution. He expressed his satisfaction with the PS5 Pro version of Alan Wake 2, saying, “Remedy’s game and resolution issues only occasionally occur. Image quality is more important to us than resolution. We think this version of the game is a surprise that we are quite happy with.”
Puha’s comments suggest that Remedy Entertainment is confident in the quality of their game on the PS5 Pro, despite the lower resolution numbers. The studio plans to release more details and assets for the PS5 Pro version of Alan Wake 2 in the coming weeks.
