BEEAH Group Expands into Real Estate Development, Prioritizing Sustainability
Sharjah-based BEEAH Group, known for its environmental solutions, is strategically expanding into real estate development. This move leverages BEEAH’s experience in managing real estate projects and its established expertise across environment, energy, technology, and healthcare sectors.
The expansion underscores BEEAH’s commitment to diversification, integrating sustainability into its core business model while fostering growth in high-impact industries. The organization aims to create future-ready cities and improve quality of life through this new venture, focusing on smart and sustainable design.
Khaled Al Huraimel, Group CEO and Vice Chairman of BEEAH, said that developing real estate is a natural evolution for BEEAH, unlocking a new avenue to address society’s most pressing challenges. He added that their goal is to create remarkable urban environments, setting new regional benchmarks and creating a world-class model for elevated living in tomorrow’s cities.
BEEAH brings over a decade of experience in developing projects for the real estate industry. Past projects include the BEEAH Headquarters, designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, and various sustainable industrial developments. The organization is also involved in the upcoming Jawaher Boston Medical District (JBMD), designed by Renzo Piano building workshop (RPBW), and serves as project manager and strategic lead for the Sharjah Creative Quarter project.
BEEAH’s commitment to environmental sustainability remains a priority. The company continues to lead in waste-to-value solutions, striving for total landfill diversion. Its waste management ecosystem has helped Sharjah achieve a landfill diversion rate exceeding 90%. This success has fueled BEEAH’s expansion into Egypt and Saudi Arabia, where it is indeed contributing to cleaner, more circular cities.
In the energy sector, BEEAH is focused on waste-to-energy, hydrogen-from-waste, and solar technologies. Sharjah’s Waste-to-Energy plant, which opened in 2022, transforms non-recyclable waste into clean energy and is undergoing expansion to double its capacity. The Hydrogen-from-Waste project has shown promising results in initial trials. BEEAH is also advancing solar projects to support net-zero strategies.
BEEAH is also active in the technology sector, driving digital transformation through ventures like re.life, which is disrupting the recycling, logistics, and moving industries. Its digital venture EVOTEQ is enhancing supply chain integrity through its “traq” platform. In green mobility, BEEAH’s ION joint venture is transforming EV charging through a unified platform. Additionally, BEEAH is constructing Sharjah’s first Tier III data center in partnership with Khazna, emphasizing sustainable design principles.
The upcoming Jawaher Boston Medical District (JBMD) exemplifies BEEAH’s commitment to healthcare, combining advanced medical treatments with sustainable design to promote holistic well-being. Complementing this project are Wekaya, a BEEAH venture providing circular solutions for medical waste, and “traqpharma,” a technology enhancing pharmaceutical supply chain integrity across the UAE.
