Behind the Facade: Kejriwal’s Condolence Card Exposed as Polls Loom – Is This the End of Corrupt Politics or Just Another Act
BJP Spokesperson Shazia Ilmi Slams Arvind Kejriwal for Resignation Drama
Srinagar: BJP national spokesperson Shazia Ilmi has criticized Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for his recent resignation, calling it a political drama. Ilmi stated that Kejriwal’s decision to resign is a ploy to garner sympathy, knowing he will likely face a lengthy jail term.
Ilmi, a former member of Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party, expressed her disappointment and shame at being a founding member of the party. She highlighted the widespread corruption within the party, citing the chargesheet filed against Kejriwal and his ministers, which included over 200 witnesses. Ilmi emphasized that the policies were altered to benefit the party, and everyone is aware of the situation.
Ilmi questioned Kejriwal’s timing, suggesting that he could have resigned five months ago but chose to do so now, with the parliamentary elections looming in Delhi. She pointed out that Kejriwal cannot resume his post, sign files, or attend the Prime Minister’s office, making his resignation seem like a tactical move to gain an advantage in the upcoming elections.
Ilmi also stated that Kejriwal is aware he cannot evade the law indefinitely. With the trial set to begin, Kejriwal knows that evidence will be presented, and he will likely face jail time. The BJP leader believes that Kejriwal fears the court will uncover evidence of his involvement in the liquor scam, leading to a lengthy prison sentence.
Ilmi concluded that the court will ultimately decide who should face prison time and who will receive bail. She emphasized that Kejriwal’s resignation is a desperate attempt to manipulate public opinion and gain sympathy.
