CNN reported that Marcy Gray, the mother of 14-year-old Colt Gray, who recently shot and killed four people in a high school in America, apologized to the families of the victims.
In an open letter, Marcie Gray expressed her deepest condolences to the families of the victims, stating, “If I could speak for them, I would do so without a second thought. I would like to express my sincere apologies to the parents and families of the victims.”
As a parent, Marcie Gray acknowledged the pain of losing a child, saying, “I know how painful it is to lose a child. I feel the pain and sadness of the victims and cry with them.”
The sacrifice of the two teachers who died while teaching and protecting children was also heartbreaking for Marcie Gray, who blamed herself, saying, “Everyone is living a nightmare now, and I will never be able to forgive myself about this event.”
Defending her son, Marcie Gray said, “My son is not a monster. He is quiet, thoughtful, considerate, and very smart.”
Marcy Gray asked for prayers for her son and her family, just as she prays for the victims every second.
Colt Gray was previously indicted on charges of killing four people, including two teachers and two students, and injuring nine others in a shooting at the high school he attended near Atlanta.
