Belfast Airport Runway Reopens After Plane’s Hard Landing

“The runway at Belfast City Airport has now reopened and normal operations will resume today,” the airport announced in a statement Monday. “Passengers impacted by yesterday’s runway closure or those due to travel today should check the status of their flight with the airline before making their way to the airport.”

While the incident caused several flights to be diverted, thankfully, no serious injuries were reported. Emerald Airlines confirmed the incident, attributing the hard landing to the challenging weather conditions that have been disrupting travel across the UK.
