Multiple Hospitalized Following Incident in South Belfast
Emergency services responded to a concerning situation on Damascus Street in south Belfast this Tuesday, September 30th, after receiving multiple 999 calls shortly after 5:00 PM. Police, fire crews, and the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) were all dispatched to a property where several individuals had fallen unwell.
According to a statement from the NIAS,four emergency crews were sent to the scene. Following assessment and initial treatment provided by paramedics, four patients were transported to the Royal Victoria Hospital for further care.The nature of the illness affecting those involved has not yet been disclosed.
Authorities are currently asking members of the public to avoid the Damascus Street area while investigations continue. The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) has confirmed that an update will be issued as soon as more data becomes available.
