World Rally Champion Neuville Escapes Injury in Dramatic Crash
October 19, 2025 – A harrowing incident unfolded for Hyundai Shell Mobis WRT’s Thierry Neuville and co-driver Martijn Wydaeghe during a rally, as their hyundai i20 N Rally1 suffered a violent crash just four kilometers into a stage. The accident, occurring on ground nearing freezing temperatures, resulted in meaningful damage to the vehicle but, thankfully, no injuries to the crew.
According to reports, the car experienced ample oversteer, leading to a high-speed impact with the guardrail of a bridge. The force of the collision completely destroyed the front end of the Rally1 car. Despite the severity of the impact, Neuville and Wydaeghe emerged unscathed.
