Toby Stephen and Chris Larkin, Dame Maggie Smith’s sons, have released a statement expressing their deep sadness over their mother’s passing. “We are heartbroken to announce the death of Dame Maggie Smith,” they said.
“She passed away peacefully in hospital early this morning, Friday 27 September. He was a person who led an intensely private life. He is with friends and family in his final moments. She has two children and five beloved grandchildren who are deeply saddened by the loss of their special mother and grandmother.”
