Chinese Voice Actor Shi Banyu Passes Away at 66

Xi Banyu’s family posted an obituary on WeChat Moments today, saying that Xi Banyu died peacefully in Beijing yesterday. Shi Banyu (real name Shi Renmao) is the voice of Stephen Chow in the 1991 film “The Gambler”. Since then, he has become the most familiar “voice of Stephen Chow” to Taiwanese audiences, dubbing “Step Back to School”, “Tang Bohu Spots Qiuqiang”, “God of Cookery” and “Shaolin Football”, and the exaggerated smile is also a common memory of the audience.
