Tragedy struck the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) victory parade as a stampede claimed the lives of 11 people. The incident occurred as fans attempted to push‌ through a gate, according to officials. The deadly stampede has cast a shadow over what was intended as a celebration of ⁤the team’s success,​ prompting calls for greater responsibility at large public events.

Police reported that the crowd size swelled to over 200,000, significantly exceeding their anticipated 100,000. The RCB victory parade was meant to​ be a joyous occasion, but the fan safety quickly became a concern as the density‍ of the crowd increased.
