A holiday in Benidorm turned into a nightmare for Martin Bullen, 31, when he broke his neck and back after being pushed into a swimming pool. The incident occurred June 10 at a pool party. Bullen said an acquaintance playfully pushed him, unaware of ⁢the water’s depth.

Bullen,a single father of two,said he attempted‍ a dive but struck his head on the pool floor. An army medic present at the party stabilized ‍him until paramedics arrived. He was ⁤transported to a local hospital, where⁢ he received 16 stitches for a head wound ⁢and ⁢was diagnosed with three‍ neck fractures and a broken back.
