Benito Tesier is the new president of CEOE Aragón. The executive of the Brembo company and with various positions in business organizations such as Cepyme, both locally and nationally, and the Federation of Metal Entrepreneurs of Zaragoza (FEMZ), and even the CEOE itself, has become today the new top representative of Aragonese entrepreneurs. A position in which he replaces Miguel Marzo after announcing his intention not to run for the presidency of the business institution again and opening the electoral process, which culminated today with the General Assembly and the election of Tesier.
The arrival of Benito Tesier to the presidency of CEOE Aragón will entail some changes in the business map of the Aragonese community. According to elEconomista,for the moment,he will not leave his positions within Cepyme,an organization with which he will advocate for greater collaboration in order to give more visibility to small and medium-sized enterprises and work jointly with companies and the self-employed.
He will also not leave the presidency of the Federation of Metal Companies of Zaragoza (FEMZ), a sector that, precisely, has been one of the great supports of Tesier to reach the presidency of CEOE Aragón. The door to the replacement in this organization is planned for later, surely when the electoral process is on the horizon of 2027. though, he will leave the presidency of the Automotive and mobility cluster.
The new president of CEOE Aragón has also drawn on history in his speech to evoke the importance of sun, wind and water in the origin of Cesaraugusta. Elements that remain key to the present and future of Aragon and to the development of the three Aragonese provinces. “Without them, renewable energy would not exist and consequently, we would have greater difficulties in attracting strategic investments in Zaragoza, Huesca and Teruel. Precisely, regarding the provinces, Tesier has focused on concrete measures that are needed such as the “unrenounceable objective” of 20% of operating aid; the improvement of its Cantabrian-Mediterranean connections; the Duplication of the national 332 and the A40 in the interaction union of Teruel with Cuenca and the objective development of land for housing to face the population challenges of the future.
In addition, for the province of Huesca, he has focused on strengthening the tourism strategy, as well as the Pyrenees Plan as a strategic tool to boost economic development and the High Aragon. Likewise, it is indeed desired to bet on the rural agricultural development plan, “very necessary for the sustainability of our primary sector”, as well as the “unrenounceable permanent fight for the Central Crossing through the Pyrenees.
