Brand Performance: Chinese Brands Dominate, Despite Losses
Despite the overall market downturn, Chinese brands currently hold the top positions in the Russian pickup truck market. Though, even these brands are experiencing year-on-year sales declines.
- JAC: Remains the leading pickup truck brand in Russia, selling 429 units in September. This represents a 32.7% year-on-year decline.
- Great Wall of China: Secured second place with 247 pickup trucks sold, a substantial 53.3% decrease year-on-year.
- Changan: Also features in the top five, experiencing a 56.3% year-on-year decline.
The Rise of RAM: An Unexpected Trend
A notable exception to the declining trend is the American brand RAM, which is not officially imported into Russia. RAM achieved a remarkable 55.4% increase in sales in september,selling 202 pickup trucks. This makes RAM the only brand in the top five to demonstrate significant year-on-year growth.
