Best Tablets Under €200 – 2026 Recommendations
In my opinion, we’ve reached a point where, after testing practically every tablet model that comes onto the market each year, itS no longer true that Apple’s iPads are the only ones worth recommending. As 2010, I’ve been able to test all iPad models that have come onto the market and the tablets developed by other manufacturers from Android since 2017, making it one of the technology categories I feel most cozy testing. Four years ago,it was a practically immovable maxim. Most Android tablets functioned like a large mobile phone and not like a tablet, with a specific form factor for a very specific use. There were exceptions, of course, but at prices that were simply not competitive (there were Samsung tablet models, for example, that matched the iPad Pro in functionality, but were not competitive in price). Now that is no longer true.
At least it’s no longer true unless you want the tablet to work with demanding programs like Final Cut, Logic Pro or Procreate, you are looking for a tablet almost exclusively for gaming or you want to replace your laptop with a tablet. There, the iPad Air and iPad Pro (both from the M3 chip and 256GB of storage) will continue to be the best options for the moment, especially as Apple launched the iPadOS 26 operating system (now you can choose between a purely tablet experiance or a portable experience), even though it is indeed undeniable that these models have in 2026 serious competition in models such as the Lenovo Yoga Tab Plus (from 709 euros), the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro (from 399.99 euros) and the Galaxy Tab S11 (from 819 euros) and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra (from 959 euros). In their favor, Apple tablets will always have technical support (software updates) that, for the moment, exceeds
Lenovo Tab Plus 11,5” 2K (MediaTek Helio G99, 8GB RAM, 256GB)
At the right price, as was already the case with the Galaxy A9+, in my opinion it is also a good option and is a tablet that I definitely recommend, but the form factor of the Lenovo Tab Plus includes a practical 175-degree stand on the back that saves you from having to buy a case to have a stand.Added to that its better screen and greater autonomy with a lower price makes me put it in first place.
Until now I also recommended the Lenovo Tab M11, which I had the opportunity to test at the beginning of 2024, but at the prices I am seeing now, in the first quarter of 2026, it no longer seems to me to be an option. Until now I recommended it, above all, for a very basic use (it is indeed not a tablet designed precisely for multitasking, nor for having many tabs open, nor especially fast), thinking of a tablet for children (with parental control).
The Lenovo Tab M11 has an older processor than the MediaTek Helio G99 of the popular lenovo Tab Plus, and it doesn’t have as much sound power (it has four speakers mounted and also has Dolby atmos, but it doesn’t reach the same level), but to compensate it has a good 11-inch screen (with a refresh rate of 90 Hz) and comes with a pen included. Although it has Android 13, it can be automatically updated to Android 14 and will also be updated to Android 15. In addition, it will receive security patches until 2028.The problem it has now is that it costs the same as the Lenovo Tab Plus, and all things being equal, for me, the Plus model wins.
The Lenovo Tab M11 has also been displaced by the Lenovo Idea Tab, another affordable tablet that I have tested and that I like very much.
