Carey, the best-selling female artist of all time, has sold over 200 million albums and penned 18 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 singles. Her album, The Emancipation of Mimi, recently celebrated its 20th anniversary.
Foxx, an Oscar, Grammy, Golden Globe, and BAFTA winner, recently starred in Netflix’s Back in Action and released a stand-up special. His Foxxhole Productions champions Black stories through projects like Number One on the Call Sheet and the series ALERT: Missing Persons Unit.
Franklin, a 20-time Grammy-winning gospel artist from Fort worth, Texas, has blended gospel with R&B, hip-hop, and pop for over three decades.
Snoop Dogg, a music icon and entertainment mogul, has released 21 studio albums, sold over 40 million albums worldwide, and earned 20 Grammy nominations. TIME Magazine recently recognized him as one of the 100 Most Influential people.
Lil Wayne, Teyana Taylor, GloRilla, Playboi Carti, and Leon Thomas are also slated to perform. Kendrick Lamar leads the nominations with ten, followed by Doechii, Drake, Future, and GloRilla with six each.
The BET Awards will also celebrate the 25th anniversary of 106 & Park with a tribute featuring past hosts and performances by Bow Wow, amerie, B2K, Jim Jones, Mya, and T.I.
