Criminal investigation Launched After Pennsylvania Crash Kills Teen
A criminal investigation is underway in Bethlehem Township, Pa., following a weekend crash that resulted in the death of a 17-year-old. The incident, which occurred on June 1 near Freedom High School and East Hills Middle School, is being investigated for potential ”reckless behavior,” according to police.
David Nagy,a junior at Freedom High School,died at the scene from blunt force trauma to the head after one of two vehicles carrying teenagers crashed into a parked car. The Northampton County Coroner confirmed the cause of death.
Bethlehem Township Police Chief Greg Gottschall stated that five teenagers, including Nagy, were involved in the incident. While he confirmed the investigation is focused on potential criminal actions, he did not provide further details.
The Bethlehem Area School District released a statement expressing sympathy and urging respect for the privacy of those affected by the tragic incident.
