Samira Sedki Opens Up About Her Marriage and Recent Robbery
Renowned artist Samira Sedki has revealed the reason behind keeping her marriage a secret from the artistic community. In a recent interview, Sedki shared that she got married at the tender age of 17 and was directing the Madballism theater troupe at the time.
Early Marriage and Passion for Acting
Sedki explained that her love for acting led her to marry her cousin, who was also her late husband, in order to pursue her passion. She stated, ”I loved acting, and there was no one in my family who could support me, so I married my cousin, who was my late husband, to act and be with him.”
Current Projects and Recent Robbery
Sedki is currently participating in the series “Joma,” directed by Muhammad Al-Naqli and starring Merwat Amin and Reem Al-Baroudi. She has also been contracted for the series “Habiba” for a duration of 15 episodes. However, her recent focus has been on a personal matter – a robbery that took place in her home.
Sedki shared that she was robbed by a child she had raised in her home, who had access to her safe and stole 400 thousand pounds and a group of gold jewelry. She expressed her shock and disappointment, stating, “I was surprised that he made a copy of the house keys and entered the safe with his uncle and aunt.”
Police Intervention and Aftermath
The police intervened, and the perpetrator was caught. However, Sedki chose not to pursue the matter further, stating, “I did not want to take my right, and I admit it.” She concluded by saying that she had given the report and moved on from the incident.
