Artist Samira Sedki Opens Up About Her Marriage and Career
Samira Sedki, a renowned artist, has shared the reason behind her decision to keep her marriage a secret from the artist community. In a recent interview on the “Details” program with journalist Nihal Tael, Sedki revealed that she got married at the age of 17 to a man who was managing the Madbullism theater troupe at the time.
Sedki explained that she married her husband so that he could join the team, as he had a passion for acting. She also mentioned that she loved acting and saw this as an opportunity for her husband to pursue his dreams.
Currently, Sedki is participating in the series “Joma” directed by Muhammad Al-Naqli and starring Merwat Amin and Reem Al-Baroudi. She has also been contracted for the series “Habiba” for a duration of 15 episodes.
A Personal Tragedy: Sedki Shares Her Experience of Being Robbed
Sedki shared a personal tragedy where she was robbed by a child she had brought up in her home. She explained that the child had the key to her safe and had stolen £400,000 and a bunch of gold jewelry.
Sedki was shocked and surprised by the incident, especially since she had known the child and had lived with them constantly. She added that the child had made a copy of the house keys and had entered the safe with their uncle and aunt.
Sedki’s Views on Marriage and Relationships
Sedki expressed her views on marriage and relationships, stating that she doesn’t need a man in her life as she is a self-made person. She also mentioned that she doesn’t like anyone controlling her life and that she prefers to manage her own life.
Sedki refused to remarry after her husband’s death, considering him a brother, father, and friend to her. She also commented on the title ”Star of Seduction” that was given to her in her work, stating that seduction is not about persistence but about embodying the camera or the look.
Sedki’s Future Plans and Collaborations
Sedki concluded by expressing her desire to act with Karim Abdel Aziz, Yasmin Abdel Aziz, Mona Zaki, and Ahmed Helmi. However, she mentioned that she doesn’t want to work with Mohammed Ramadan, as she believes that his films have taught the youth “bullying” and are not a success in themselves.
