Betrayal of Trust: Lawyer Yuki Takeuchi Embroiled in Scandal Over Neglected Case and Forged Court Documents
Lawyer Arrested for Neglecting Client and Forging Court Decision Copy
A 34-year-old lawyer, Takeuchi Yuki, belonging to the Fukuoka Bar Association, was arrested by the Fukuoka District Public Prosecutors Office on suspicion of forgery and use of a seal-bearing official document. According to the Fukuoka District Public Prosecutors Office, Takeuchi allegedly forged a copy of a court decision and sent it to a client by email.
Takeuchi, who lives in Yahata Higashi Ward, Kitakyushu City, is suspected of using a computer at his office in Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture, to forge copies of court decisions in the name of a judge at the Kokura branch of the Fukuoka District Court in May last year. He had previously received a request through an introducer to “file a registration procedure request,” but had neglected to do so, instead falsely reporting to the introducer that “I filed a lawsuit for a registration procedure request and received a judgment.”
It is believed that Takeuchi forged a copy of the court decision and sent it by email to the introducer to avoid being discovered. The Fukuoka District Public Prosecutors Office has not revealed whether Takeuchi has admitted to the charges.
Takeuchi’s registration number is 55781, and his office is located at 2154-3-102 Aikawa, Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture.
