Beverley Callard Injured: John Thomson Steps in for Rhyl’s Cinderella Panto
Beverley Callard, known for her role as Liz McDonald in Coronation Street, will not perform in the Pavilion Theatre’s production of Cinderella. She has a shoulder injury that requires surgery. Callard expressed her disappointment about missing the show and looked forward to working with the cast.
John Thomson, another actor known for Cold Feet, The Fast Show, and Men Behaving Badly, will replace her and play the role of the Baron.
Rehearsals for Cinderella begin this week, with the opening night on December 7 and performances running until December 31. Jamie Groves, managing director of Denbighshire Leisure Ltd, wished Callard a speedy recovery and welcomed Thomson to the cast.
Tickets for the pantomime are available on the Rhyl Pavilion Theatre website or by calling the box office at 01745 330000.
