Beverly Thomson, 61, died on Sunday after a 23-year struggle with cancer. Born and raised in the Toronto area, Thomson began her journalism career at a small radio station in Newmarket, Ontario. She later joined what is now CityNews 680,gaining experience in radio broadcasting.
CTV and Canada AM
Thomson transitioned to television news, joining CTV News as an on-air reporter. She later worked at global News before returning to CTV, where she became a co-host of the popular morning show, Canada AM.She continued her career at CTV News Channel,becoming a familiar face to viewers across the country.

According to a statement released by CTV News, Thomson’s natural on-air style fostered an immediate connection with viewers.
