Beyoncé’s “Beyoncé Bowl” Halftime Show Now Streaming on Netflix

Beyoncé’s electrifying halftime performance at the Ravens-Texans Christmas Day game is now available for fans to relive on Netflix. Dubbed the “Beyoncé Bowl” by fans, the 13-minute special captures the pop icon’s signature high-energy performance and impeccable production values.

A First for “Cowboy Carter

Unlike her previous Netflix documentary, Homecoming: A Film By Beyoncé, which offered a behind-the-scenes look at her Coachella performance, “Beyoncé Bowl” focuses solely on the main event. The special marks the first-ever live performance of songs from Beyoncé’s critically acclaimed album Cowboy Carter, which recently made history as the second-most Grammy-nominated album of all time, trailing only Michael Jackson’s Thriller. The album also made Beyoncé the most nominated artist in Grammy history.

A Star-Studded Spectacle

During the halftime show, Beyoncé was joined by her daughter blue Ivy Carter, who danced alongside her, and also collaborators Shaboozey, Post Malone, Tanner Adell, Brittney Spencer, and Tiera Kennedy. The performance featured tracks like “YA YA” and “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM,” the latter of which made Beyoncé the first Black woman to top the Billboard Hot 100 with a country song.

Netflix Scores a Touchdown

“beyoncé Bowl” proved to be a major win for Netflix, which recently partnered with the NFL to stream games. Nielsen reports that the streamer’s NFL games have been the most-streamed in history, averaging around 24 million viewers. The audience peaked during Beyoncé’s halftime performance, reaching over 27 million viewers.

While these numbers don’t quite match the record-breaking viewership of the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight, which reportedly peaked at 38 million concurrent streams in the U.S.,it’s a meaningful achievement for Netflix, especially considering the company is still refining its live event streaming capabilities.

Fans React to the “Beyoncé Bowl”

The “Beyoncé Bowl” has generated significant buzz online, with fans praising Beyoncé’s performance and Netflix for making it accessible to a wider audience.

“I missed the game, but I’m so glad Netflix is streaming the halftime show,” tweeted one fan. “Beyoncé killed it!”

Another fan wrote, “This is what live streaming is all about! Netflix is really stepping up thier game.”
