Beyond Borders: The Visionary Spirit of Overseas Vietnamese Shaping the Nation’s Future
Unity and Cooperation: The Key to a Strong, Prosperous, and Happy Vietnam
The General Secretary and President emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation among the 6 million Vietnamese living abroad. He expressed his hope that they will share the same vision, will, and effort in building a strong, prosperous, and happy country, as inspired by Uncle Ho’s words during his visit to France in 1946: “Each overseas Vietnamese must be a people’s ambassador of Vietnam, competing and striving, together contributing to the common cause of the whole nation.”
Vietnamese experts, intellectuals, and scientists abroad are encouraged to contribute their knowledge, experience, and expertise to the development of the homeland. The General Secretary and President hopes that they will not only invest in Vietnam but also serve as a bridge to promote Vietnamese goods and brands globally, as well as showcase the country’s rich cultural heritage and traditions to international friends.
The Party, State, and people of Vietnam welcome and support overseas Vietnamese who wish to return home to visit their families, travel, invest in production, or do business. The government is committed to listening to their aspirations, opinions, and suggestions for national development and creating favorable conditions for their return.
In the future, the Party and State will continue to develop and implement policies to attract and utilize the talents of overseas Vietnamese, promote their potential, strengths, and valuable resources in national construction and defense. Additionally, Vietnam will strengthen cooperation with other countries to protect the legitimate rights and interests of the overseas Vietnamese community, supporting them to integrate and thrive in their host countries.
