Beyond Good & Evil 2 Still in Development Despite Ubisoft’s Recent Setbacks
Recent news from Ubisoft has been less than encouraging, with sales of their games failing to meet targets and the cancellation of several high-profile titles, including the sequel to Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. However, it appears that not all games have been affected by the company’s struggles.
According to a report from Kotaku, Beyond Good & Evil 2 is still in development and has not been canceled. In fact, some staff members who previously worked on Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown have joined the development team, and Fawzi Mesmar has taken on the role of executive producer.
Mesmar has stated that the team will focus on creating a game that stays true to the original vision of the team members who are no longer involved, including the late Emile Morel. However, Michel Ancel and Guillaume Brunier, who were previously involved in the game’s development, will not be returning to the project.
This news will come as a relief to fans who have been waiting for years for the release of Beyond Good & Evil 2. While there is still no word on when the game will be completed, the fact that new images and clips are being created and released suggests that the team is still hard at work.
