Paris (AP) — ⁣A recent survey indicates that the majority of ⁢French workers⁣ express satisfaction with their jobs, citing salary and work-life balance as key factors.though, compensation remains‌ a significant concern​ for many.

According to the survey,⁤ published Wednesday, April 30, 70% of employed French adults report being⁤ satisfied with​ their professional ‍lives.Of those, 14% ‌are “very satisfied,” while⁢ 56% are ⁣”rather‍ satisfied.”

Job satisfaction varies slightly across different socio-professional categories. executives reported the highest satisfaction rate at 73%, followed by ⁤intermediate professions at​ 72%, employees ⁢at 68%, and workers at⁤ 66%.

The⁣ survey also explored sources of contentment at work. A significant 85% of workers consider their role “useful ‌to the company,” 80% find ⁤it “interesting,” and⁣ 73% expressed feeling “proud” of their contributions.

Pay and Stress:⁤ key ⁤Grievances for French Employees

Despite the overall positive sentiment, the survey revealed several grievances among French‍ workers. Half‌ of ⁤those surveyed described their work as physically or‍ emotionally “painful,” and ‌53% believe ⁤they lack opportunities ⁣for career advancement. These concerns were ​more pronounced among workers.

Stress ⁣is another significant issue, with 62% of respondents reporting that ⁢their work is stressful.⁣ However, salary appears to be the most prominent source ​of dissatisfaction, ​as ‍60% of‌ workers feel they are underpaid.

Unsurprisingly, salary ranked as⁣ the ‍most vital factor for workers, with 69% citing remuneration as one of their top three priorities. Work-life balance ⁢was ⁤the second most ⁣crucial element, identified by half of the respondents. workplace atmosphere ranked third,except among workers,who prioritized job security.

A considerable⁢ majority (77%) of employed individuals expressed satisfaction with their work-life ⁢balance, with 17% reporting being very satisfied⁢ and 60% rather satisfied. Satisfaction levels were ⁤relatively consistent across socio-professional categories (78% of ⁤executives, 77% of intermediate professions and⁤ employees, 75% of workers). However, women reported slightly lower satisfaction (73%) compared ‍to men (80%).

Reflecting this desire to maintain a healthy balance, most workers (two out ⁤of three) feel they work enough, while one in four believe ‌they work too much. ‌Only 7% indicated they are not working enough.

The survey also ‍found that a majority (56%) of ⁢French adults, including both active and retired⁢ individuals, believe that people in France work sufficiently.However, 30% believe that people do not work enough, while 14% think they work too⁣ much.
