Bhairavam Release Delayed Due to Lead Actors’ Issues
Bhairavam Release Pushed Back: Telugu Remake Faces Production Delays
The highly anticipated Telugu remake of the Tamil hit Garudan, titled Bhairavam, is facing an unexpected delay, pushing its release beyond the initial Christmas target.
Director Vijay Kanakamedala’s enterprising project, starring Bellakonda Sai Srinivas, Nara Rohit, and Manchu Manoj, has been hit by a series of setbacks. Production was initially halted due to the unfortunate passing of Nara Rohit’s father. Adding to the challenges, Manchu Manoj recently sustained a physical injury, further complicating the filming schedule.
While Bellakonda Sai Srinivas remains available, the unavailability of his co-stars has made a Christmas release unfeasible.
“The team is confident in the film’s content,” a source close to the production revealed. ” Bhairavam tackles powerful themes like the alienation of temple lands, betrayal, and the enduring strength of friendship. We’ve even crafted a gripping interval episode that we believe will generate significant buzz, similar to the impact Pushpa 2 created.”
However, the intense competition during the Sankranthi season, a prime time for Telugu film releases, presents another hurdle. Securing sufficient screens for Bhairavam amidst the crowded release slate has proven difficult.
As a result, the team has made the difficult decision to postpone the release to late January. This strategic move allows them to complete filming, finalize post-production,and secure optimal theatre availability for a successful launch.

NewsDirectory3.com Exclusive Interview
NewsDirectory3: mr. Kanakamedala, fans are eagerly awaiting Bhairavam. Can you shed light on teh recent postponement?
Vijay Kanakamedala: The unfortunate passing of Nara Rohit’s father caused a necessary halt in production. We all needed time to grieve and offer support. Then, Manchu Manoj’s injury added another complexity to the filming schedule. While we are incredibly proud of the film’s content, especially the powerful interval episode that we believe will be a highlight, it became clear that a Christmas release was no longer feasible.
NewsDirectory3: The Sankranthi season is intensely competitive. Was that a factor in the decision?
Vijay Kanakamedala:
Absolutely. Securing screens during Sankranthi is always a challenge, and we want to ensure Bhairavam has the best possible platform to reach our audience.
NewsDirectory3: So, what can fans expect now?
Vijay Kanakamedala: We are now targeting a late January release. This allows us to complete filming, finalize post-production, and work towards securing the optimal theater availability for a successful launch.
