US President Joe Biden’s private comments that China is testing the US and its allies in the Indo-Pacific region were revealed through a microphone that was turned on.
According to Bloomberg, AFP, and the Associated Press, President Biden made full remarks in front of reporters at the Quad country summit held in the United States on the 21st local time, and said, “China continues to behave aggressively, testing all of us throughout the region.”
President Biden emphasized that this is happening on many fronts, including economic and technological issues, and said, “We believe that fierce competition requires fierce diplomacy.”
He also added, “We believe that Xi Jinping is trying to focus on domestic economic issues and reduce disruption in foreign relations, and he is trying to free up some diplomatic space to aggressively pursue China’s interests.”

President Biden’s comments were made to other Quad leaders and were meant to be made privately, but were announced unfiltered through the microphone turned on.
