Danish firm BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group) has teamed up with Nokken, a scandinavian outdoor living specialist, to create “Softshell,” a modular tent system that redefines luxury camping.
Softshell boasts a sleek, modern design with a distinctive curved silhouette.The tent’s innovative glulam (glued laminated timber) structure provides both strength and sustainability, while large windows offer panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
“We wanted to create a space that felt both connected to nature and incredibly agreeable,” said Ingels. “Softshell is designed to be a true home away from home, offering all the amenities of a luxury hotel while allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the outdoors.”

Softshell isn’t just a tent; it’s a complete glamping experience. the two-story design features a spacious living area downstairs, complete with a kitchen and dining space, while the upper level houses a cozy bedroom with breathtaking views.
