The Bihar government will withdraw all legal cases filed against protesters who demonstrated over the NEET paper leak and will release those currently jailed, according to reports from The Hindu and The Times of India. This decision follows similar action by the Assam government, which also dropped cases and assured no further legal action against protesters associated with the Citizens for Justice and Peace (CJP).

Bihar Government Withdraws FIRs and Releases Detainees

Authorities in Bihar have assured protesters that First Information Reports (FIRs) are being withdrawn in a move described by The Times of India as a win for students and the CJP. The decision specifically targets those detained during demonstrations regarding the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) paper leak. In addition to dropping charges, the state is moving to release individuals currently held in custody related to these protests, as reported by The Hindu.
