Dubai Establishes Mada Media Company to Regulate Advertising Boards

Dubai has formed a new company, Mada Media Company, to regulate and administer advertising boards in the emirate. The company was established under a law approved by HH Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai.

Mada Media Company is a private joint stock company responsible for operating and developing advertising sites across Dubai. The company will utilize technologies related to advertising and ensure compliance with relevant rules and regulations. Additionally, Mada Media Company will conduct research to improve the advertising landscape in Dubai.

The company will take over all activities related to advertising from the Dubai Road Traffic Authority (RTA) and Dubai Municipality. This includes managing advertising sites, conducting research, and ensuring compliance with advertising regulations.

Leadership and Asset Transfer

Hussain Muhammad Al Tayer has been appointed as the chairman of Mada Media Company by Sheikh Hamdan Bin Muhammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. The company will acquire assets from the RTA, Dubai Municipality, and Dubai Investment Fund, including all rights and obligations related to advertising.

The transfer of assets will be conducted in accordance with predetermined terms and conditions. The company’s ownership, powers of the board of directors, and available human and financial resources will be determined by the Dubai Executive Council.
