The ordeal involving a fake album of Billie du Page’s music has concluded. The EP, titled Mes pas, created using artificial intelligence by an unknown individual, has been taken down from music streaming platforms.
The young artist shared the news with her fans in a social media post Tuesday. Her manager, Elfy Andrade, confirmed the removal.
“It’s gone!! The fake album has been removed from all my platforms. Youhouuuu. Back to MY music!” a delighted du Page stated.
Last Friday, du Page discovered that an album bearing her name, but which she neither wrote, composed, nor recorded, had been uploaded to her digital service provider pages.
She and her team promptly contacted the relevant web giants to have the eight-song album, featuring both French and English tracks, removed. It took four days for the album to disappear.
The person responsible is identified as Ren Rob Toet, an unknown individual who also impersonated american singer Piper Rockelle and Australian singer iyah may. Their fake albums have also been removed from online platforms.
