Harwell Home Care Expands Philippines-Based Team with Billings Leadership Role
Harwell Home Care, an Australian provider of personalized aged care services, is seeking a Billings Team Leader based in the Philippines. The role focuses on overseeing and managing the entire billing and accounts receivable process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance for a diverse client base including Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) Community Nursing, Veterans Home Care, Support at Home, and private clients.
The company, guided by values of autonomy, flexibility, and excellence, is committed to helping older Australians, particularly veterans, maintain independence and dignity in their own homes. This new position is part of a broader strategy to support that mission through robust financial operations.
The Billings Team Leader will be responsible for the end-to-end billing cycle, from accurate data entry and invoice coding to monitoring payments and resolving client inquiries. A key aspect of the role involves tracking and managing accounts receivable to minimize overdue payments and optimize cash flow. Regular reporting to the Financial Controller will be essential, highlighting overdue accounts and providing updates on financial performance.
Beyond day-to-day operations, the position requires a proactive approach to compliance and process improvement. The leader will ensure all billing and claims adhere to relevant regulations, internal policies, and client contracts, adapting quickly to changes in government programs like DVA, VHC, and Support at Home. Identifying opportunities for automation and system enhancements will also be a priority.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, coupled with 5-8 years of experience in billing and accounts receivable, including at least 2-3 years in a lead or supervisory capacity. Strong knowledge of end-to-end billing processes, accurate invoice coding, and proficiency in financial software – such as Xero – and Microsoft Excel are essential.
Excellent communication skills are paramount, as the role requires liaising with both internal teams and, occasionally, directly with clients or auditors. The ability to identify and resolve revenue leakage, disputes, and compliance risks is also crucial. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to train, mentor, and conduct quality assurance checks for billing team members.
Harwell Home Care is partnering with UniversalU Philippines Inc. For this role, offering a fully remote position (Philippines-based) with occasional team engagements. The work schedule is 40 hours per week, aligned with Australian business hours (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM PHT). Employees will receive HMO coverage for themselves and one dependent, annual and sick leave in line with company policy, and statutory benefits including SSS, Pag-IBIG, and PhilHealth.
According to Harwell Home Care, the company is dedicated to supporting the well-being, professional growth, and compliance of its employees with all Philippine labor regulations. The company emphasizes that this role offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful care for clients across Australia, enjoying the flexibility of remote work while being part of an organization committed to compassionate, high-quality care.
Interested candidates are encouraged to apply to join a mission-driven team and support innovative in-home care services.
