Supreme Council for Media Regulation Formed
On Monday, November 25, 2024, President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi announced the formation of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation. Khaled Abdel Aziz will serve as the chairman of this new council.
Biography of Khaled Abdel Aziz
- Khaled Abdel Aziz was born in 1959 in Cairo.
- He was the Minister of Youth and Sports in Engineer Ibrahim Mehleb’s government, starting on February 26, 2014.
- Before that, he held the same ministerial position in Dr. Hazem El-Beblawi’s government, beginning on June 16, 2013.
- Khaled served as the Director of the Organizing Committee for the 2006 African Cup of Nations.
- He was also the director of the 2009 World Youth Championship.
- Following the January 25 revolution, he led the National Youth Council in al-Ghanzuri’s government.
- Khaled was the Director General of the Private Finance Fund linked to the Council of Ministers.
- He served as a member of the Egyptian Tennis Federation from 1996 to 2000.
