BJP’s Moustache Victory in Rajasthan After Khimsar Bypolls Win

Posters featuring moustaches appeared in Khimsar constituency after a BJP candidate won the recent assembly by-polls. The moustache has become a symbol of electoral success in Rajasthan.

BJP candidate Revant Ram Danga defeated his closest rival Kanika Beniwal of the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) in a significant victory. Following this win, many locations in Khimsar, including outside state health minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar’s residence in Jaipur, displayed these moustache posters.

During the election campaign, Minister Khimsar promised to remove his moustache if Danga lost. The local significance of this election was high, as Khimsar is seen as a stronghold of the RLP. Danga’s victory is a notable achievement for the BJP.

After the election, minister Khimsar thanked the voters for honoring his vow and the moustache. He expressed gratitude for their support and reiterated his commitment to serving the community.

In the Khimsar by-polls, Danga won with a margin of 13,901 votes. Kanika Beniwal, the runner-up, is the wife of Hanuman Beniwal, a key figure in the area.

Hanuman Beniwal previously won this seat in 2008 as a BJP candidate and again in 2013 as an Independent. He later formed the RLP and secured the seat in the 2018 elections. His brother, Narayan Beniwal, also won in the recent by-polls with the RLP’s backing.

The mummy-themed celebration of the BJP’s win has captured public attention and symbolizes their confidence in the area.
