LA LAGUNA, Tenerife, Canary Islands – The Quirino Awards for Ibero-American Animation honored David Baute’s “Black Butterflies” as best film Saturday night, solidifying the Canarian director’s position as a rising⁤ international ⁣talent.

This year’s competition saw 26‌ works reach the final round,selected from 263 submissions,a ten percent increase from the previous ⁣year.
