A Legacy of Hits
Formed in the early 1990s,the black eyed peas achieved global stardom in the mid-2000s,captivating audiences with their unique blend of hip-hop,pop,and electronic music.
While Fergie has since departed, the core trio of will.i.am, Taboo, and apl.de.ap, along with new vocalist J. Rey Soul, continue to deliver electrifying performances. Their 2009 collaboration with David Guetta on the smash hit “I Gotta Feeling” remains a global anthem.
With over 80 million records sold worldwide, the Black eyed Peas are one of the best-selling music groups of all time.Continuing the Party Vibe
“we were really marked by the incredibly festive atmosphere we had with David Guetta, where it was two hours of non-stop hits,” explains Julien Lavergne, director of AZ Prod, the concert organizer. “The Black Eyed Peas are a bit in that same vein. People want to come together and listen to live music with songs they hear in clubs, at parties, everywhere. It resonates. It’s a continuation of what we had with David Guetta.”
Sunday Funday?
the choice of a Sunday concert date might raise eyebrows for those facing work the next day.
“It’s an international group, so we’re also constrained by their schedule and international tour,” Lavergne explains. “The date was ultimately a co-constructed choice between the group’s agent and the venue’s availability.”
This Chambord performance kicks off a four-date French tour for the Black Eyed Peas, including stops at the Beauregard Festival, Fête du bruit, and Garorock.
Double the Fun?
Organizers are still aiming for a double concert weekend, with hopes of securing a second artist to perform on Friday or Saturday night.
“We’re continuing to work until December to try and ‘hook’ a second artist, a second group,” Lavergne confirms.
