Two women accused of operating as black widow robbers in Buenos Aires were confronted by their victims outside a nightclub on August 31, 2024, infobae.com reported. The chance encounter at Virus disco on Avenida Rivadavia in Flores led directly to police intervention and subsequent criminal charges.
Confrontation at Virus Disco on August 31, 2024
Natalia Callamullo and an unnamed female companion encountered Antony and Angel outside Virus disco in Flores. The two male cousins from Bajo Flores recognized the women as the individuals who had allegedly drugged and robbed them nine days earlier. When the women attempted to leave, the cousins blocked their path, creating a street-level commotion that drew the attention of a passing patrol car from the City Police Comisaría Vecinal 7C.
During the ensuing search, officers discovered a blue sleeping pill in Callamullo’s bag. Her teenage companion was found carrying six blisters of 2 milligram clonazepam. Another male victim, who also claimed the women had robbed him days earlier at Staff brewery in Flores, was present at the scene and joined in the accusations.
The August 22 Robbery of the Cousins
The initial robbery occurred on August 22, 2024, starting at Mitos brewery in Gaona. The two women, accompanied by a man they claimed was a friend, traveled with Antony and Angel to Parque Chacabuco while drinking vodka. Three hours later, one of the cousins was found wandering barefoot and missing his Adidas sneakers, while the other slept off sedatives in the back seat of a vehicle.
The victims discovered they were missing mobile phones, an Apple Watch, driver’s licenses, and debit cards. During the aftermath, one victim’s father received unsettling text messages demanding money and claiming police involvement, leading him to transfer approximately 50,000 pesos to an account that was later investigated and dismissed by the justice system.
Judicial Outcomes and Ongoing Legal Proceedings
Following the August 31 street confrontation, Natalia Callamullo was elevated to trial in late 2024 before Tribunal N°13, alongside a male accomplice identified through subsequent investigation by the Minors Prosecutor’s Office N°3. The teenage co-defendant, who turned 18 in December 2024, reached a plea agreement with Tribunal de Menores N°1, receiving a two-year suspended sentence for robbery committed in a group.
